LAK Real Estate is a property development company operating in the airport environment which owns, manages and leases offices and logistical facilities to the varying demands of business life in the Helsinki-Vantaa airport area. LAK is also known as a major developer of new buildings in the airport and Aviapolis area.

LAK’s property portfolio includes the Hilton Hotel, the multi-functional centre “TOKE” and the WTC office tower which are located at the airport. In addition, LAK is the leading developer of new properties in the Aviapolis area neighbouring the Helsinki-Vantaa airport.

At present, LAK has approximately 170,000 square metres of property stock and approximately 400,000 floor-area square metres of building rights at the airport and in the Aviapolis area. LAK is closely involved in shaping the future of growth centre at Aviapolis, which is a key strategic area for the City of Vantaa. The residential and commercial block to rise above the southern entrance of the Aviapolis railway station will be located in the heart of a modern airport city. The Avia City will hold some 6,400 square metres of leasable office space and housing for approximately 2000 residents of whom the first can move in their new homes during 2021. The commercial centre with local services to be built in the area will cater for the daily demands of the residents. There will also be a new office building which will diversify the office space offering in the area.

An office building called the North Block is being planned at the northern entrance of the railway station with a new parking hall. These facilities will allow LAK to better respond to the growing office and parking demands of the airport area.

The construction of a new airport hotel at a central location adjoining the air terminal will start in autumn 2020.

LAK Real Estate Oy currently employs 13 people. Among the company’s owners are the real estate investment fund administered by NREP, the investment company Pontos and the state-owned company Finavia Oyj.
